Art in the County 2010

Art in the County, now in its 17th year, will run from June 18 - July 4, daily from 10am-5pm with extended hours on Thursday, June 24 and Thursday, July 1 until 7pm. This annual event is held in Picton's Old Town Hall above the Firehall at King and Ross Streets.

The exhibition is a highlight of the summer season in Prince Edward County, attracting residents from around the Quinte area and visitors from across Canada, many US states, Europe, Asia and Australia. New this year, will be the addition of a Gallery Walk , Live Entertainment and a Share the Canvas project.

Each year, Art in the County displays the highest quality of work from County artists and artisans. All of the art displayed is carefully chosen by three distinguished and experienced art experts who are professionally qualified jurors. These jurors are solely responsible for the content of the show, for the five Jurors' Choice Awards and five Honourable Mentions.

The People's Choice Award, determined by ballots completed by visitors to the art show, are awarded at the end of Art in the County.

Entry forms for the show are available and posted on the website, deadline for submission is June 4, 2010.
